Mama Bear: Part 1

She stood in the kitchen chewing her bottom lip. Her gloves were already on. She needed 3 more things. First, the knife and measuring cup: Her heart was pounding as she reached deep into the back of the silverware drawer and pulled out the old paring knife. It had been bleached to kill any DNA, …

Wicked Awesome Book Review

I’m reblogging my own post. Doesn’t say much for my creativity at the moment, I know. But it’s my kids birthday and I’m too busy constructing a guitar-shaped cake to do much more than hit the “reblog” button.
so . . .

Cheers!

1095As the title of this post suggests, I am posting a book review from onlinebookclub. And it’s for MY book, September Rain, released earlier this year.

I’m going to do the honorable thing (not) and post the parts I like best, but you can read the original, full length post here.

Prepare yourself: it’s a freaking awesome reviewby an official reviewer named Sara Clay!

Number-5

I give September Rain 4 out of 4 stars for the cohesive display of complex plot.

I devoured this novel in two days, sacrificing obligations and sleep. With heaviness and bags under my eyes, I must say that I am impressed.

September Rain, the second installment of the Savor the Days Series, is a contemporary romance between a troubled foster child, Angel, and a musician named Jake. Throughout the course of Jake’s band’s advancement in the world of music, their affections…

Babbling Monday: A Writers Doubts

I'm indecisive. I should take some time to sit and think. Make a choice and stick with it.  It feels odd for me to call anything like it is. I don't care for labels, categories, and all that nonsense. I understand the need. I'll go along with the marketing and self-promotion of it all, but …

Just A Taste . . .

September Rain is the final title I've settled on for my second book in my Savor The Days Series. September Rain is the stand-alone-prequel to Between Octobers, which tells the mind-bending story of two friends serving time for a crime that the protagonist, Angel, is still trying to make sense of. Here's the blurb (which …

Part 2: What’chya think?

I've been working on ideas for the cover of my next book. Last week, I blogged, here, about my first cover idea and today, I thought I'd share another. The book is called Last September, formerly Countdown To Chaos--which I still think is an awesome title, but doesn't quite fit this story as it's an …

Whatch’ya Think?

I'm working on cover concepts for my soon to be released follow up (well a stand-alone prequel, actually since it's the back story of one of the characters. If you wanna know who, you'll have to read it.) to my previous novel, Between Octobers. Last September (formerly Countdown to Chaos) is a completely different type …

Don’t Mind Me . . . Just Pulling My Hair Out.

I'm trying to write a blurb and it's driving me crazy. Of all the difficult parts of writing a novel: the huge task of making up people, their problems, the main plot, sub plots . . .   CHARACTER ARCS, PACING . . . EDITING . . . and the other stuff. You know, the …
