A Beacon for the Metaphorical Penis is a serial flash fiction thingy I'm writing. In Case you're interested in catching up or catching on: Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Beacon for the Metaphorical Penis Part 4 It had been several weeks and still Dee was jobless. Her best friend, Layla, was convinced …
I love Laura Ingalls Wilder. I read her Little House books and then kept going with the stories of Rose and Little Farmer Boy. But this biography is one I have not read. Yet.
I have to reblog this post. Its just awesome!
Hey, all! I know I haven’t been writing any ‘real’ posts. I’ve been trying to placate you with obscure cocktails and old videos, but that’s because I’m knee deep in the shiz right now.
Some of you may already know that I’m doing Janice Hardy’s amazing at-home workshop Revise Your Novel in Thirty Days. It’s the best revision advice ever. Not to say it isn’t hard work. Revision is hard, especially when fixing a NaNoWriMo catastrophe, but Janice’s detailed system is perfect for a methodical person like me and it’s going to revolutionize my beloved sculptor.
I wanted to get this book out for you guys a long time ago. (You’ll laugh if you watch the pilot book trailer for The Sculptor. The release date says 2014! HA!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAA….HAAA…HAAA!!!) But, I rather be late than half-assed or even three-quarters-assed. I want to be…

Some very interesting points made in this post! I'm reblogging
This is a great post, hitting directly on some of the points I made in my own post earlier today.
So, I’m reblogging…
Ask any writer what’s at the top of their wish list (behind a publishing contract) and they’ll most likely tell you they’d love to write full-time. They’ll lament their full-time/part-time job, their unpaid parenting work, and other general unavoidable responsibilities which form a barrier to writing.
And I completely agree: they suck. Not very eloquent of me, I know. Forgive me, I’ve had one of those weeks.
Recently I read a fantastic article in the Sydney Morning Herald about how women have to deal with fragmented time. It’s here in case you’re interested.
In the article, the author referred to fragmented time as Time Confetti. I loved that. Because that’s how my life feels a lot of the time. A little bit of blue confetti over here. A sprinkle of pink over there. Yellow, red, orange, blue, green . . . shit, that…

I'm indecisive. I should take some time to sit and think. Make a choice and stick with it. It feels odd for me to call anything like it is. I don't care for labels, categories, and all that nonsense. I understand the need. I'll go along with the marketing and self-promotion of it all, but …
