Finally!

Leonardo DiCaprio won the BIG ONE. The elusive Academy Award. 

I know I’ve never said so–not in the blogosphere at least, but I’ve thought Leo deserved an Oscar since his performance in the opening scene of What’s Eating Gilbert Grape.

Young Leo’s performance was completely overlooked at the time because all every one was talking about was Johnny Depp. But if you watch the clip below, you’ll see exactly what I’m talking about.

 I think he would have gotten one a lot sooner if getting one were his ultimate goal. But it isn’t. And I think I love that about him.So, way to go, Leo. Well done.
