Teaser Tuesday

I’m really trying to blog more and do it regularly and since I enjoy the “Teaser Tuesday” bit one Sharon’s Book Nook Blog every week and happen to be out of ideas at the moment, I thought I’d do a copy-cat post!

When the idea well has run dry, you cheat! Right?

Don’t you judge me, Tom Cruise!

The book I am currently reading is called On My Knees, by Meredith Wild. (Follow the link for purchase on amazon)

I’ve read her Hacker series and though it was a little too much for my delicate sensibilities, I do enjoy the authors writing style, so I thought I’d give this Bridge Book series a try. Here’s the blurb:

51aKMxiYzVL._SX341_BO1,204,203,200_Haunted by the responsibility of caring for her troubled family, Maya Jacobs gave the only answer she could when Cameron asked her to marry him. Years later, entrenched in a soulless professional routine, she distracts herself from the lingering regret of her decision with a “work hard, play hard” lifestyle that guarantees no man will ever find his way into her heart again.

Cameron Bridge has spent the past five years married to the military, trying to escape the painful memory of losing Maya. After fighting his own war in the desert, he starts a new life in New York City, with his siblings, Olivia and Darren, by his side.
When fate brings Maya back to him in the heart of a city filled with its own hopes and shadows, can Cameron find the girl he once loved in the woman she’s become?

**This is a standalone story with no cliffhangers.**

That last part about this book being a stand-alone without cliffhangers was pivotal in my choosing to read this book, as you all know I friggin’ dislike cliff-hanger endings. I avoid them whenever possible by waiting until the series is completed to begin reading.

And the very sentence that I just read earlier this morning is pictured below:

OMK-Teaser-1

I’m 56% into this book and still enjoying it! I’ll post a review when I’m finished.
